2007 Toyota Sienna LE Road Trip: Day One

Tuesday July 3, 2007
2007 Toyota Sienna LEOur travel adventure began early this morning with a quick stop at a local Toyota dealer -- part of the Toyota Rent a Car dealer network -- to pick up our rental 2007 Toyota Sienna LE minivan.

After signing some paperwork, we grabbed the keys and headed home to begin arguably the most challenging phase of our trip: packing up suitcases and cramming enough clothes, snacks, beverages, electronic gadgets and Hot Wheels cars to keep three young boys entertained during an eight-hour trip. Wish me luck, because I'm sure I'll need it.

We'll start the trip in Northern Colorado, drive through Wyoming and eventually end up in Utah to visit some relatives for the July 4th holiday. I'll be posting a running log of our trip, with text entries and new photos being added to the road trip gallery over the next few days.

We get things started by taking a look at some curious storage locations, the new 3.5 liter V6 engine (now standard on all 2007 Siennas), and some impressive -- and well-lit -- gauges and instruments.

Have anything you'd like to know about how a Toyota Sienna handles itself on a long-distance trip like this one? Click on the comments link below this post to add your thoughts. I'll try to answer any questions in the next post.
