2007 North American International Auto Show Preview

Wednesday December 27, 2006
2007 NAIAS Logo In a week or so I'll be making my first trek to the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), held in early- to mid-January 2007 in Detroit. A number of automakers will have new (and updated) minivans and concept vehicles on display. Perhaps the most significant launch from a minivan perspective will be the all-new 2008 Dodge and Chrysler minivans, but I'm hoping for other significant news as well.

Will Toyota finally announced a hybrid minivan? Or will we finally get a look at what the upcoming VW minivans (based on the 2008 Dodge/Chrysler vans) will look like?

I'm putting together a preview article of what we can expect to see, which will be posted in early January. While some pundits and prognosticators have already consigned the minivan to the dustbin, I think we'll be seeing new minivans for years to come.
